Description
We’re looking for a seasoned User Experience pro to tackle a major project for this Hired Guns client, a well-known presence in the financial space. We can’t share a lot of details here (it goes without saying that this project is completely confidential), but suffice to say that you’ll be a key player in the creation of interfaces for the next generation of financial software. It’s an interim role for now, but they’re looking into the future. If you play your cards right, it could be a great ongoing gig or full-time hire.
Gun Profile
You have a strong background in the visualization of quantitative information, and your years of hands-on experience designing software interfaces will help you get the job done. You can handle every challenge professionally and elegantly and are a zealous advocate for the end-user point of view. You have experience constructing wireframes (including functional requirements), building sitemaps, and more. You can think strategically about the end of the line, since it will be up to you to create an efficient, understandable, and easy-to-use product experience. But what puts you at the head of the class is your passion for what you do, your desire to learn and grow on your career path, and the way you thrive working with other smart people to solve the toughest design challenges. It would be really helpful if you’ve got some knowledge of financial markets or investment management to bring to the table.
Nitty Gritty
You’ll be collaborating with a team of driven, entrepreneurially-minded folks to create a product that transforms reams of complicated financial data into an intuitive and usable interface. As the expert in interactive design and usability, you’ll act as advocate for the end-user and be responsible for turning out an exceptional product. This means you’ll be digesting a bunch of research-based knowledge that the group has accumulated and analyzing use cases and workflows to create high-fidelity wireframes, workable prototypes and more for the new product.
