This is an incredibly business facing role requiring a clear thinker that has the ability to quickly spot system inefficiencies. You must then utilise your initiative to resolve them in the most proficient way possible with little or no impact on the business.
You should have the following skills and experience:
- Comprehensive career experience in building financial and accounting models specifically dealing with profit and loss, cash flows and balance sheets.
- Demonstrated experience dealing with Finance and Accounting.
- Experience and ability to program in VBA and SQL where required.
- Ability to work from Business Requirements and liaise with project stakeholders wherein additional opportunities have been identified.
- Project experience and the ability to work to specified timeframes and meet project deadlines.
- Understanding of accounting mechanisms, standards and associated processes.
- Excellent communication skills (liaising and documentation of finished solution)
- Experience and dealing with Microsoft SQL Server (database design, program languages, etc).
- Financial modelling skills usually found in Financial and business analysts. They are very special about not wanting Datamodelling, more financial modelling.
