Our client in Den Haag (NL) is looking for a DBA service, there is a need for someone who can advise them on their current Mongo DB situation.
They need a 'DBA' who can work hands-on and tweak, tune, analyse and change the current Mongo DB.
This role will start in the beginning of November, till at least end of this year. They need a service of a few weeks straight, after that your service will be needed again every +/- 4 weeks.
The purpose of this Service Request For Quotation is to procure a service that will validate the data architecture, review and update the currently proposed data loading, implementation and sizing approach and help to prepare a set of solution patterns for NoSQL/MongoDB to be hosted on the clients provisioned Linux environments.
Service to be provided
1. Validation of planned data architecture
- review of current data model
- advise best practices for data usage patterns
- document data architecture implementation patterns & best practices
2. Review current data loading strategy & implementation
- Provide best practices for the clients loading patterns
- Error and performance monitoring.
- Performance management.
- System and database tuning.
- Periodical health checkups
3. Review and steer scalability requirements
- review & validate current sharding setup
- document scalabilty and sharding patterns to be applied
4. Other activities.
- provide appropriate guidance in client access implementation patterns
- NoSQL/MongoDB competence centre set up support.
Other requirements
- Database and NOSQL data store usage & administration experience in heterogeneous systems.
- Long work experience with large NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB
- Excellent communication skills both orally as in writing.
- Proven aptitudes to cooperate with other engineering areas covering diverse technical specialties.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
