Description
Beacon Hill Technologies has a 3-4 month contract opportunity for an experienced WebTrends Analyst.
- Provide guidance on implementing best practices for making improvements to online reporting tools (WebTrends, TeaLeaf and OpinionLab).
- Including hands-on implementation technical skills; getting pages tagged properly, testing pages for proper tagging, working with developers to provide guidance on coding best practices for reporting tool implementation (preferably WebTrends), setting up reports and profiles in WebTrends, providing analysis and recommendations on reports as needed, etc.
- Leading the web analytics portion of major site redesign projects
- Working with Business Stakeholders to help determine KPIs for sites and defining reporting strategies and implementing them for various web properties
- Works with current analytics resource
- Who will assist on site redesigns
- Who will construct reports that are distributed to internal constituents on daily, weekly, monthly and/or quarterly basis.
- Majority of Reports are constructed manually
- Ability to merge data from disparate sources to calculate statistics
- Experience providing high-level analysis and recommendations for improvement in KPIs.
- Occasionally verifying accuracy of data
- Time permitting, research, understand and document issues with data acquisition and integrity.
- Who will triage responses that come in through our online customer feedback tool (OpinionLab) including:
- reviewing daily comments submitted by site visitors
- Triaging comments and sending them on to the appropriate internal personnel for action/response
- Tracking comments related to site issues from submission to development. i., e., comments come in that something is confusing then getting that comment in front of usability experts who recommend changes to the site. Then any changes to sites as part of this process need to be attributed to the feedback tool to help demonstrate the value of the tool.
- Sharing feedback with the User Experience team for purposes of implementing user experience improvements
- Evangelizing Web Analytics to the organization
Required:
- Working knowledge of online reporting tools such as Web Trends (or similar) or TeaLeaf
- Experiences leading Web Analytics projects with demonstrated success
- Access database experience
- Project management skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good presentation skills
Desired:
- Some offline marketing communications experience
- Experience in SEO and SEM-related strategy development and execution is a plus
- Experience in Social Media strategy development and execution is a plus
