High school diploma required, Associates Degree or relevant work experience preferred.
Requires a minimum of five years meeting planning experience. Must be a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) in current standing. Ability to travel domestically for business (approximately 50-75% of the time). Ability to maintain flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, including overtime and weekend work as required. Highly motivated, organized and capable of functioning independently and a readiness to assume responsibility. Strong budgeting and negotiation skills. Superior PC, word processing, Access, Powerpoint, and Excel skills Strong on-line registration capabilities and reporting Ability to manage multiple overlapping meetings simultaneously and be able to prioritize workload. Must be able to manage multiple overlapping projects and manage assistant and/or vendors as required. Must have strong oral and written communications skills. Proactively identify challenges and offer solutions Must enforce that all corporate policies and procedures are followed as they pertain to meetings/events and conferences, travel, etc no exceptions. 1. Plan off site business meetings and events. This includes but is not limited to: venue/site selection, contract negotiation, budgeting, client liaison, ground transportation, audio visual/staging, management of room block, rooming lists, travel arrangement coordination with internal travel dept., all logistical information, management of external vendors, group activities, reconciliation of all invoices, manage budgets, and on-site coordination.
