My Brussels based client within the financial sector has an urgent requirement for an AIX Specialist/Architect for a 6 month contract but with the likelihood of further extensions beyond the initial period.
The Unix Technical Services team is responsible for the 3rd level support of 540+ IBM AIX, Sun Solaris and Red Hat Linux Servers running various applications. The team is also responsible for architectural designs for projects using Unix as well as being accountable and responsible for the stability of Unix environments.
The successful applicant will be expected to provide 3rd level support of all IBM AIX based Servers, review and sign-off documentation for Projects within AIX environments, produce documentation (Architectural Designs) for new projects within AIX environments, participate with project teams to ensure production stability and to assist with the evolution of AIX by testing new products and patches. Candidates should be able to display strong technical knowledge of AIX 5.x, 6.x; IBM VIOS 2.x, HACMP, TCP/IP Networking and Tivoli Storage Manager. Any experience of Security tools and concepts (SSH, SSL, PKI) and WEB/E-business technologies (LDAP, Apache, WebSphere) would be highly beneficial.
