Mid-Level Interaction Designer

Perpetuating is a mobile and web app strategy and development, user experience and design firm. We work with executives to design and build software applications used by their customers, students, partners, and employees. All of our clients are passionate about their business, users, and technology from mobile applications to websites with user contributed content.

We are looking for an entry to mid-level visual designer to join our team! As a visual designer at Perpetuating, you will be part of a passionate group of design consultants to all types of enterprise level software applications. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define user interaction and workflow models for product features.
• Work with user researchers to turn observational and other data into creative solutions
• Find ways to make complex information and interaction as simple as possible
• Develop high quality visual assets, then refine these  into complete, functional design deliverables
• Establish new visual design systems or work within existing ones
• Build HTML prototypes to demonstrate interactive behavior
• Create user experience guidelines and UI specification documentation
• Create storyboards and plan activity scenarios, flow, and sequences
• Develop navigational hierarchies and effectively visualize key concepts of site structure and user pathways

Qualifications

• BA or MA in Visual Communication, Product Design or equivalent
• 2-6 years’ experience in web, software, or product design
• An online design portfolio demonstrating strong creative skills, the ability to generate compelling ideas, and a thorough understanding of good design process
• Able to accomplish objectives and possess proactive and strategic problem-solving skills
• A strong understanding of grid systems, composition, and color; with a keen eye for typography and meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across disciplines
• Demonstrated proficiency with Photoshop and HTML/CSS3
