Financial/Management accountant
We are currently looking to resource a finance/management accountant to work for an automotive company in the West Midlands, This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and hard-working Management Accountant to join the team, initially on a 3 month contract basis.
In this new role, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
- Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
- Providing a support to the management team in helping make financial decisions
- Analysing financial performance and contributing to business planning and forecasts
- Offering professional judgment on accounting matters and advising on ways of improving business operations and procedures.
- Liaising with senior managers to track and monitor programme costs and profitability.
- Monitoring and evaluating financial/HR information systems and suggesting improvements where needed
Target Profile/Experience:
Experience
- Experience of working as a Management Accountant in a multi-cost centre environment operating to tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to input and interpret complex financial data
Desirable:
- A recognised accounting qualification/or working towards a qualification
