GoAhead Solutions has a great opportunity in Centennial, CO for a Web Developer. This would be a four to six month contract to hire.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will develop and implement new technologies as well as maintain and enhance existing systems. They will create and support interfaces with internal systems, other technology teams across the company, and key external vendors. This individual will have demonstrated capability in the full lifecycle of software development in both waterfall and agile methodologies, with particular focus on analysis, design and coding in Credit/Banking services, Loyalty program solutions, and Call Center systems.
Responsibilities:
-Analysis, development and produce working code to the definition of done
-Create functional design and technical specifications documentation
-Provide accurate effort estimates
-Adhere to coding standards and best practices defined within the organization
-Perform peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
-Meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
-Work with defect tracking, source code control and software release systems to ensure high-quality software releases over time
-Occasional on-call production support after-hours
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
-3+ years of experience developing in Microsoft .NET (C#) – (additional Java knowledge a plus)
-Knowledge of WCF, TFS, XML, web services and SOA frameworks desired
-Microsoft certifications (MCAD, MCSD, MCTS/MCPD) highly desirable
-Hand on experience with relational databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle 11G)
-Experience with IIS, Windows Server 2008
-Experience in both waterfall and agile project lifecycle methodologies preferred
-Strong analytical and complex problem solving skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Entrepreneurial spirit and attitude with desire to lead and mentor
-Aptitude and interest to quickly learn new technologies
