Job Role: Voice Project Manager (Consultant/Specialist)
Location: Pleasanton Technology Campus, Pleasanton, CA & Parsons East, Pasadena, CA

High-Level Job Description
The CLIENT-IT, Infrastructure Project, is hiring a senior level Voice Project Manager to assist in the Plan, Design, and Implementation activities relating to upgrading client network environment. This role will provide a platform to bring this individual's diverse VoIP background and point of view to a broader audience to think outside the box to deliver on our overall commitments. This role is a mixture of technical, business, and finance activities.

The Voice Project Manager will document engineering standards and proposals/recommendations for network designs and engineering changes; assist in the development of project teams; work with other network engineers, technical staff and vendors to develop/implement network projects; research, evaluate and recommend new tools/technologies; and assess emerging network technologies and make recommendations to the Infrastructure Project team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend all Peer and Design Review sessions
Complete various post project completion system audits
Complete actuals vs. forecast financial audits
Active Directory Integration
Cluster Capacity Test Plan
Test Plan Dial Plan
Local
Long Distance

Gateway Failure Scenarios
CUCM Server Failure Scenarios
Certification Documentation
Create and or update the existing certification documentation process
Record and document the test results of various ongoing certifications
Update the Low level design with the preferred configuration settings and parameters for each integration
8945 Phone and other endpoint Certification
Develop and document Server build guidelines for CUCM, CER, Unity Connection, PG, etc.
Develop and document Server upgrade guidelines for CUCM, CER, Unity Connection, PG, etc.
Develop and document Server replacement guidelines for CUCM, CER, Unity Connection, PG, etc.
Develop and document Server disaster recovery guidelines for CUCM, CER, Unity Connection, PG, etc.
Assist with the compilation and categorization of various Lessons Learned activities.
V911 standardization

Required Skills
Experience with WAN technologies such as Routers, Leased Lines, Metro-Ethernet, and MPLS.
In-depth knowledge of SIP, MGCP, Skinny, H323
Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco voice components to include CUCM, Unity, Gateways, Cube, SME, SBC, UCCE, etc.
Extensive experience leading teams to successfully deliver on large VoIP deployments.
Experience with LAN technologies such as Routers, Switches, HA Architecture, Core/Distribution/Access Layer, and other LAN products, features, and protocols.
Ability to document aspects of CLIENT-IT networks and services provided to users.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong technical project management and engineering skills are mandatory.
Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and propose effective solutions.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation skills.
Ability to write detailed, complex documents for technical and non-technical audiences.
Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Ability to interface with executives and high-level managers and to provide recommendations and advice on technical issues and strategy.
Ability to learn independently, research products and technologies, and to problem solve as well as to assume a technical leadership role as needed.

Additional Skills
Although the following skills are not a direct requirement for this particular position they would be considered a definite advantage to prospective candidates:
Strong SharePoint and or data processing skills.

Preferred Qualifications
University degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrate technical excellence, including industry related certifications. Cisco CCIE certification not required but a definite advantage.
5+ years of Voice Project Managing experience in a large enterprise environment.
5+ years of experience with Cisco Systems network equipment.
5+ years of experience designing, evaluating, and recommending networking solutions.
5+ years in the networking/telecommunications industry.
5+ years working with telecommunications vendors.
Network design and engineering experience within a healthcare environment.
Experience with large project rollouts and construction projects.
Minimum years of experience required: 5 years

Top 3 skills needed to succeed in this position:
Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco voice components to include CUCM, Unity, Gateways, Cube, SME, SBC, UCCE, etc.
Extensive experience leading teams to successfully deliver on large VoIP deployments.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Top 3-5 daily responsibilities:
Attend all Peer and Design Review sessions

Minimum educational requirement (per client Compliance this needs to be at least the same minimum requirements as a FTE in the same role): Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
