My client is one of the largest and most widely respected pharmaceutical companies in the world who employ over 3,500 people across 8 sites in the UK.

A temporary opportunity has arisen within the HR Department based at their headquarters in Frimley (GU167SR) for a Functional Development Manager (L&D Manager). This role will be for approximately 8 months to cover maternity leave.

Reporting to the Head of Talent Management and Organisational Development, the successful candidate will:-

* Partner with functional leadership to identify future business needs and interpret consequential future competency and skill requirements.
* Develop & implement L&D curricula to enhance functional skills and competencies for identified business areas.
* Implement structured training needs analysis by function, role and individual of identified business areas to understand current and future development requirements.
* Be an expert to the business in the areas of functional coaching and mentoring, self-development, best practice sharing, blended learning and buddying.

Experience Required:

* Experienced in learning and development role within a multinational company.
* Successful track record of designing, implementing and evaluating learning solutions.
* Strong vendor management & facilitation skills.
* Customer focused individual with excellent relationship building skills.
