My client is a global organisation that delivers services into the security, defence, government and commercial sectors. They have identified the need to bring into their business a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Glenrothes.
The Mechanical Engineering division provides mechanical design, analysis and support for Power Electronics Product Design, supporting Power and Control business units.
Required Skills:
Good knowledge of product design, dynamics analysis and problem solving within a product design environment.
Analytical engineer who can process data efficiently to provide solutions to problems and communicate
the outcomes at all levels.
Good team player who is willing to take ownership of problems and actively engages in IPT and group activities.
Proven ability in analysis, applying good analytical skills to tolerancing, stress, fatigue, dynamic and thermal challenges.
Can demonstrate contribution to specific improvements in dynamics issues.
Experrience in Pro Engineer Wildfire 4.0, experience inclusive of generation of components, assemblies and detailing.
The ability to provide thermal solutions within product design.
Experience of interpretation of customer specs and end use environments
Has an good understanding of ESS, HALT HASS testing techniques.
Understands the principles of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Desired Skills:
Ideally experienced in the use of Pro Mechanica 4.0 with experience of structural and thermal analysis.
Experience of PDM software an advantage.
Has an good understanding of ESS, HALT HASS testing techniques.
Ability to setup vibration testing and analyze results.
Has an good understanding of ESS, HALT HASS testing techniques.
Required Education:
Minimum of HND/Degree in related subject, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience in a product design/analysis role, within an Power Electronics Product Environment
