VMWare Engineer, New virtual build required, Dublin, A superb long term contract has been made available for a 3rd Line Engineer with extensive experience in VMWare vSphere 5. A chance to design a new Virtual environment from scratch. (An initial 12 months role with extensions like for a further 24 months)
My client, who are in the heart of Dublin 2, are looking for a 3rd line Design engineer to, design, implement and maintain a VMWare vSphere 5 virtualised environment for the department.
The client requires you to design a project plan for the proposed vSphere environment as well as designing a fully redundant virtual environment.
You will also be required to do the following:
- Configure and manage a virtual network for the environment.
- Configure and manage virtual storage for the environment - iSCSI and fibre.
- Manage virtual machines.
- Patch management of host Servers/VMS.
- Liaise with VMware in resolving technical issues, relating to the virtual environment whilst ensuring that best practice, reusability, modularity, openness, portability, scalability, performance and efficiency are not compromised.
This is a superb opportunity to be involved form the design stages and see it through to the post implementation. The client are a governmental organisation, so any public sector/government experience will be advantageous. CVs under review now!
