Contract Groovy / Grails Developer - Agile, RESTful - £500/dayGreat chance for a talented Contract Groovy / Grails Developer to join an exciting product development team using the latest in Agile methods and modern development tools e.g. Agile Scrum/Kanban, RESTful web services, JSON / API development.
The Role
Working in a very fast-paced, Agile (Scrum) software development environment, the Contract Groovy / Grails Developer will join a group of highly talented and motivated professionals and take part in the design and development of innovative web applications and services using Groovy, Grails and RESTful web services. You will work closely with a Java team, so any experience you have in Java development or the Spring framework would be useful but isn't essential.
Essential Skills
* Experienced in the development of complex web-based applications, ideally with high-traffic, transactional web or eCommerce sites.
* Strong skills in Groovy and Grails
* Superb communication skills - you will participate in daily Scrum meetings, so must be naturally bright and assertive
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience of an Agile Development environment using Scrum
* Gant / Grails Plugin
* RESTful Web Services
* JSON
* Cloud systems

Details
Role based in Watford.
Contract Duration: 6 months (likely to extend)
Pay rate: £400 - £480 per day.
We may be able to go higher for an awesome Groovy / Grails Developer that can bring new insights into cool tech and the latest lean development approaches.
