An application specialist is needed at one of our investment bank client in Brussels.
Fluency in French and English is mandatory requirement for this role.
Job description
- Perform the system administration of our business applications throughout the entire application life cycle (architectural design, installation, creation of monitoring solutions, patching, performance tuning, documenting ...). Applications are predominantly running on Windows 2003 and 2008 but strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Apache/Tomcat based applications is required.
- Troubleshooting and performance analysis are a big part of the job and require an in-depth knowledge of the MS and Red Hat operating systems.
- Production releases are done on Saturdays, candidates will participate every now and then to these releases once they're fully operational.
Required experience/skills
Application specialist with expertise in next domains:
- Strong Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 background
- Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux background
- Experience with Apache/Tomcat based applications
- Troubleshooting skills on business application level
- Experience with disaster recovery technologies and how to implement them
- 5+ years of business applications administration and implementation
- Experience with Sun Solaris systems is a strong asset
- Fluent in French and English (Dutch is an asset)
- Excellent interpersonal and result-oriented skills.
