Our client requires the services of a Program/Project Manager with extensive experience in ICT program/project management across, one or more of the following project categories;

  • Application development,
  • Infrastructure development,
  • Complex integration or
  • Post Refresh projects

The role:
Provide programme and project specialist function to various projects in the IMD portfolio of change for FY that increases capabilities of project managers, project boards and departmental executives to:

  • Govern, manage and direct projects through the use of IMD Project Management Methodologies, processes and techniques.
  • re-invigorate a Portfolio Programme and Project Office for ICT environment that will lead to a maturity level of 3 across Programmes and Projects using P3M3assessment methods
  • Develop, maintain, track and monitor programme and project schedule with MS Project 2007, or later versions
  • Preparing and maintaining Project, Stage, Quality, Lessons Learnt plans/logs/reports and if necessary, Exception Plans in accordance with PRINCE2,and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Methodologies
  • Identifying, recording and tracking project risks, including the development of contingency plans

Skills/Experience:
Programme and/or project office specialist skills to conduct programme/project office management roles and functions:

  • Extensive experience in ICT programme and project office management across, one or more of the following project categories; Application development, Infrastructure development, complex integration or ICT refresh projects,
  • Planning and executing ICT programmes or projects, including transition into service, realisation of benefits activities, producing effective Project Management artefacts, delivering projects using, Prince2 methodology combined with, engineering, system or software development life cycle,
  • Experience in project finances in the public sector

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS who currently hold or are able to gain an Australian Government security clearance (NV2/Top Secret preferred)
