Introduction

Within the Sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification and the design of products. The department System Integration is responsible for the utilization and the configuration (hardware and software) of test tools and systems used to integrate new developments. The department System Integration contributes to an optimal design of the complete product and the creation of the product documentation necessary for pilot production.

Know the configuration baseline of the system under your control and take responsibility for all configuration related issues. Be responsible for the indentification of the required configuration changes (upgrades) to support the Integration plan. Prepare, plan and execute upgrades on prototype machines in such a way that they minimize impact on the Integration plan.

- Keep the configuration of the assigned machines in perfect state by:
keeping the registration of the configuration (HW, SW, settings) up to date
knowing what upgrades (HW, SW, settings) are required to support the Integration plan.
preparing and executing the upgrades while updating the configuration status.
- Report the system configuration status to the Integration Project
- Report the upgrade planning and feedback upgrade results to the Integration Project
- Report the system configuration status upon cross-sectoral transfer of proto lease systems
(eg transfer between Manufacturing & Logistics and Development & Engineering)

As a Configuration Engineer you report to a Group Leader of the System Integration department. The Configuration Engineer will be allocated to an Integration Project, building a prototype by integrating modules, led by a Project leader Integration. You will interface with the other projects leaders/integrators, Logistics, the machine fathers operating the systems and the integrator of the system.
