SAS Grid Manager - Scope of Work - From SOW
Prepare for installation and validate hardware environment is ready and capable
Install and configure SAS Grid Manager on Windows 2008.
Configure SAS Servers to run within a SAS Grid Manager environment.
Advise on using SAS Grid Manager within the SAS Management Console.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot LSF Platform Process Manager as it pertains to a SAS Grid Manager environment.
Advise on enabling SAS code to run on SAS Grid Manager in a SAS/Foundation environment.
Advise on reading SAS logs to determine SAS Grid Manager errors and whether it is functioning correctly.
Advise on designing SAS Grid Manager architectures for optimal SAS deployment within a customer's environment.
Analyze SAS Grid Manager technical environment options and deployment architecture, including Grid node configuration.
Advise on working with SAS Grid Manager-related high availability and failover requirements, including storage architecture and configuration (NAS/SAN configuration).
Analyze SAS applications/content applicable to SAS Grid Manager computing.
Test and validate the configuration of customers' SAS software in a SAS Grid Manager environment, ensuring proper connectivity and integration.
Advise on backing up and restoring SAS within a SAS Grid Manager environment.
Configure SAS Grid Manager usage tracking, monitoring, alerts notification, and load balancing.
Configure SAS Grid Manager queues.
Install and configure the RTM package for SAS Grid Manager to monitor the Grid environment.
Advise on leveraging SAS Code Analyzer and understanding programming changes required to parallelize existing SAS programs/scripts in making them compatible/optimized with SAS Grid Manager.
Assess and optimize performance of the SAS Grid Manager environment.
Advise on managing all SAS Grid Manager nodes from a centralized location.
Advise on adding nodes to the SAS Grid Manager environment, and reconfiguring nodes.
Advise on leveraging and understanding parallel processing and job submission capabilities of SAS Grid Manager in relation to usage of SAS Enterprise Miner and/or SAS Enterprise Guide.
Configure one SAS Enterprise Guide client to work with SAS Grid Manager.
Interface with SAS Technical Support.
Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and expert advice to the customer on the efficient use of SAS Grid Manager.
Provide these completed documents: SAS Grid Manager Installation and Configuration Report, SAS Grid Manager Client Installation and Configuration Report, SAS Grid Manager Test and Validation Report.
