Description
The SharePoint Trainer will provide functional training and support the change behaviour process as SharePoint 2010 is deployed across my client's Projects and Technology community.
Deliver how-to functional training to individuals and groups (formal and informal) in using SharePoint 2010 (lists and libraries, web parts, user groups and permissions, connecting applications to SharePoint, etc.)
Coach community in environment constraints associated with my client's SharePoint 2010 environment
Advocate SharePoint and new ways of working
Guide community to existing training materials and support
Develop and maintain SharePoint 2010 knowledge sharing portal
Capture and share lessons learned and best practices
Identify training gaps and opportunities, propose appropriate remediation, and participate in development or refinement of training materials
Liaise with global team
Skills required of the SharePoint Trainer
- Subject matter expertise in functional use of SharePoint 2010
- Three-years experience training users on SharePoint (combination of 2003, 2007, 2010)
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas, concepts, and recommendations, both oral and written, at a level consistent with the audience
- Apply analytical skills to assess situations and issues, identify options, draw logical conclusions and sound inferences, recommend practical courses of action using innovation and good judgment
- Working and interacting with global team by adapting to work schedules and style
- Effective English and native language communication skills, both verbally and writing
- Good listening skills and ability to explain in a clear and concise way.
- Proficient in the use of software such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and strong general computing skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
Education and Certifications of the SharePoint Trainer.
- Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field, Diploma in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of formal training
- Microsoft SharePoint Certification (such as MCTS or MCITP) is a plus
