Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit for a SC Cleared Senior Optical Engineer with a strong experience in lens design using Zemax for a 6 month contract role based in Kent.
Working with our leading defence client you will develop and evaluate optical systems for avionics projects. You will also be required to work with systems and mechanical designers to turn customer requirements into successful products. The successful candidate will have a track record in delivering optical design projects and be able to take responsibility for an end-to-end lens design task.
Requirements:
- Experience in lens design using Zemax preferably for displays or imaging systems
- Track record in developing optical products
- Ability to model and evaluate optical designs
Preferable
- Experience in avionics
- Experience in designing displays or imaging systems
- Experience in performance testing of optical systems
- Ability to undertake practical investigations of optical performance is a plus
This is a 6 month contract role based in Kent.
