Calypso Developer - EU
My client require a Senior Calypso Developer to join the core Calypso development team responsible for the continued project work to streamline the Back Office platform for the management of Pricing, Risk, Accounting, Confirmations and Settlements.
This position requires an individual with exceptional experience in developing in (Calypso) Java, Spring and XML technologies.
The successful applicant will be involved in:
*Taking ownership for allocated deliverables (including requirements/design/planning/testing)
*Building good working relationships with other IT departments and relevant business areas
*Providing technical advice, direction and support to the offshore developers. throughout the development life cycle
*Enabling the delivery of future releases
*Translating business and system requirements to appropriate IT solutions
*Leading and/or contributing to technical design discussions
*Delivering high quality functionality within demanding timescales
*Assisting with appropriate testing
You will need a good understanding of the Back/Middle Office, Risk, Pricing and workflows. Also experience of working within a large development team and have a proven track record of entire ownership of deliverables.The essential requirements for this position are:
*Experience of developing in Java, and XML based technologies
*Strong exposure to Calypso APIs and architecture
*Experience of Unix Shell Scripting, tuning Database Query and Java application performance tuning
*Strong technical analysis skills.
*Significant development involving creation and optimisation of complex database queries
*Experience of developing using XML and related technologies
