Our Client a Global Media and Technological Company based in Reading are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team, on a 6 month contract.

The Data Analyst will support a digital game product team by providing rigorous analysis of the commercial performance of a live product.

Working closely with both business/product leadership and the product operations teams the analyst will support business activities both before and after product goes live: working to define a rigorous and complete set performance metrics, implementing requisite views and conducting regular directed, evolving reporting on the product as the programme progresses.

The analyst will be expected to assist leadership in formulating business objectives as hypotheses, subjecting them to objective analysis and making meaningful recommendations.

Main responsibilities:
* Work with business partners and Server Side engineers to rigorously define, implement and further develop metrics and key performance indicators
* Own weekly internal and external reporting on the performance of our products and features
* Conduct rigorous statistical analysis to investigate patterns of behaviour that are emerging in products/populations in the field
* Model effects of proposed new product features and their metrics for success
* Work closely with our product and design teams working on new features to instate new data capture

o Communicating with a less technical audience
o Proven ability to elicit reporting requirements from non-technical leaders
o Presentation skills with Powerpoint

* Data-mining skills:
o Commercial grade statistical knowledge: statistical modelling, trial analysis
o Programmatic data manipulation: SQL, reporting packages (tableau/omniture)
o Experience in correcting for partial or distorted data sets
o Adept at identifying sources of error or bias that would lead to inappropriate recommendation.
* Familiar with problem domain:
o Experience working with subscriber populations from new media, videogames
o Commercial modelling experience
o Experience of tracking performance against monetisation/financial targets
o Trial/test methodologies
