Ihre Aufgaben:
- Responsible for the planning, management, deployment and use of the various environments, and the technical assets that they contain
- The candidate will be responsible for the management of the various environments, determining how and when they will be used
- Must show an ability to act as intermediary between different groups (including external third parties) and help drive agreement and alignment as to how resources will be assigned and used for testing, both internal and external
- Must be able to liaise with development and test teams to agree processes to be followed, and to ensure that environments are available at agreed points in time, with pre-agreed configurations available
- Liaison will include facing into external groups to understand the specific requirements that their processes place on the environments
- Able to plan long term capacity, and signal to related technical teams when the environments are NOT able to meet the requirements being placed on them
Ihre Qualifikation
- Solid experience in a senior technical management position (preferably in environment management)
- You must come from a technical background
- Familiar with standard project management methodologies, but not necessarily a project manager
- You must be pro-active, someone who is more interested in solving a problem than reporting it
- Demonstrable track record of success in a fast-changing, high pressure environment
- Ability to prioritize conflicting requirements such that available resources are used efficiently and with minimum conflict
- Able to produce cogent short and medium term plans showing resource assignments to specific tasks
- Good communication skills, able to communicate in both detailed technical language and with more business oriented colleagues
- Familiar with heterogeneous technical environments, including Mainframe, Unix and Windows systems
