Overview:

Our client, a major UK retail bank, requires the services of a PMO Resource, who has previous e xperience within Retail Banking. The role manages recruitment for Business Services in respect of programme delivery and for resourcing (the role will focus on this as recruitment for programme delivery is largely complete).

Core duties of the role:

  • Working with programme stakeholders in order to understand their resource requirements and helping to articulate these in terms of recruitment plan and in the creation of role specs to issue to internal and external resource suppliers
  • Adhering to the relevant processes for seeking approval from respective Cost Management Units for both new hires and processing of contractor extensions
  • Liaising with central resource teams and suppliers as required in order to provide a clear enough brief for them to source candidates from
  • Reviewing CVs received from suppliers, conducting telephone interviews with short listed candidates, and arranging face to face interviews with hiring managers
  • Maintaining Excel spreadsheets as required eg maintain details of resources assigned to the programme and record recruitment activity.
  • Liaises with central resourcing teams in order to ensure that programme data aligns with central data
  • Reporting information as required eg recruitment statistics and update for weekly programme exceptions review meeting
  • Ensuring that resources are managed out of programme delivery in line with the resource plan or for raising change requests where extensions are required that will incur unplanned cost. Contractors will either be terminated where their services are no longer required or transitioned to TSA; where the latter the role needs to ensure that the moves are timely regarding their impact on cost to either the programme or TSA
  • Providing support to the Programme Manager as required
  • Recruitment of roles at all levels up to Programme Manager
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Experience of working within large scale change programme with focus on people management
  • Resilient and not afraid to stand their ground when dealing with senior level stakeholders
  • Experience of managing programme finances specifically relating to people costs
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in use of Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Understanding of employment law would be beneficial

Any other information

The role will be located in Andover but will be expected to travel to Crawley when required; anticipated to be on average 20%.
