Long term contract opportunity in Dublin city centre for a VMWare vSphere 5 Certified engineer with MCSE Certification.
This client are extending the deployment of virtualisation in its environment utilising VMWare vSphere 5. The main element of the duties for this role will involve the analysis, development, implementation and maintenance of the virtualised environment utilising VMware vSphere 5.
This task involves the planning the implementation and maintenance of a vSphere 5 environment.
- Design of project plan for the proposed vSphere environment.
- Design a fully redundant virtual environment.
- Liaise with other teams to identify suitable physical Servers to virtualise.
- Configure and manage a virtual network for the environment.
- Configure and manage virtual storage for the environment - iSCSI and fibre.
- Manage virtual machines.
- Implementation of High Availability.
- Patch management of host Servers/VMS.
- Liaise with VMware in resolving technical issues, relating to the virtual environment whilst ensuring that best practice, reusability, modularity, openness, portability, scalability, performance and efficiency are not compromised.
- Be able to work in all aspects of a project life cycle from business analysis to implementation and testing.
- Provide acurate documentation as required.
For consideration for this role, you must have experience in the installation, configuration and management of VMWare ESXi and vCentre, in addition to VCP 5 certification and MCSE.
