Description
Proteus Europe operating as an employment business, is currently seeking a Web Service Developer to work on a one year contract for our client based in Brussels, Belgium. Our client is one of the largest technology companies in the world, and this position will offer the ideal candidate a fantastic working environment and the chance to progress their careers further by working with the latest technologies.
At present we are looking to hire a senior web service development expert, who will extend an existing web service with a RESTful API.
Profile
The candidate must have skills and experience in the following areas:
Server development skills
Java EE
Spring 3
Struts 2
Technologies: REST, JSON, XML, Maven
Excellent unit and system testing skills
Experience with version control systems (git, github)
Knowledge of/experience with information security is advantageous
Apart from these pure technical skills, the candidate should possess:
The ability to work independently and pro-actively.
Experience working in an agile environment, acquainted with the SCRUM project life cycle
A strong quality orientation, combined with a pragmatic attitude
Strong command of English
Good communication and writing skills
Job Start and Duration:
Immediate.
We are offering a 12 month contract. There is the possibility of extending the contract after that.
Location:
Brussels, next to the airport.
