Description
Experienced SQL Server DBA required along with Sybase DBA skills to join a highly technical DBA team, covering production and project DBA work. Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Main Duties include:
- Production Support, SQL and Sybase DBA duties, Change Activity, Incident Management, Upgrades ie: SQL Server version upgrade, other database tools upgrade.
- Database migration, Capacity planning ie: disk ' memory ' cpu, Performance tuning, Root cause analysis, Application engagement
Key Strengths/Abilities required
- Must have extensive experience as SQL Server and Sybase Database Administrator - at least 3-5 years in large, high volume and high criticality environments
- Must have extensive experience Monitoring and analysing SQL Server production metrics
- Some performance tuning - query and server optimization
- Experience with Log Shipping, Database Snapshots, Database Mirroring
- Understanding of multi-tier architectures from a conceptual level and support bank critical application.
- SQL Server Versions: SQL 2000 and above OS Version: Windows 2003/8 and above
