Description
A globally recognised name in high precision design is now looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer on an initial 6 month contract basis, with potential for the role to become much more long-term.
Joining a dedicated team of design and project engineers, you will be required to respond to multiple customer orders and produce precise 3D models of various precision components for use within the aerospace industry.
You will be a proficient design engineer with a strong mechanical background, who is fluent with SolidWorks CAD and able to demonstrate previous experience relating to conceptual and high precision design. Due to the complex nature of the CAD work to be completed, you should be comfortable with aspects of engineering such as geometric tolerancing and calculations, using either hand calculation formulae or MathCAD. You'll be of particular interest if previous employment has related to handling equipment or special purpose machinery design. Ideally you should also have previous experience within the aerospace industry, however this is not essential.
