A world-wide recognized employer in the Health/Clinical field has a contract-to-hire position open in Durham, North Carolina for a Senior ETL Developer!
You will act as an essential technical resource for application development and data integration initiatives at the client.
To be considered, you must possess deep technical expertise in the Informatica PowerCenter software suite (9.1, 8.X), Microsoft SSIS (2008), source to target mapping, data modelling, industry standardization and will have previous experience utilizing a structured delivery methodology. You must be a great communicator, able to communicate with both IT peers as well as business data consumers.

A sample of your Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate client requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan.
  • Responsible for Informatica migrations in a regulated environment.
  • Responsible for SSIS migrations in a regulated environment.
  • Provide RDBMS configuration and tuning recommendations.
  • Oversight and/or coordination of system testing phase.
  • Problem and issue resolution.
  • Participation in proposal development and client presentations.
Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of 7 years IT work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in large scale data warehouses.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience with Informatica PowerCenter and experience with PowerCenter 9 or 8 in particular.
  • Expert data modelling skills (ie conceptual, logical and physical model design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts).
  • Expert RDBMS knowledge of Oracle (release 9i, 10g, 11g) and Microsoft (SQL Server 2008).
  • Experience with interfaces such as TOAD, SQL Navigator, PL/SQL Developer.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with SSIS toolset for datamart or Datawarehouse development.
  • Experience with PowerCenter or SSIS web services.
  • Experience with other Informatica tools such as MetaData manager, Data Quality, or Master Data Management.
  • Experience with Clinical data sets.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
