Description
SAP PS Module Lead is urgently required by a prestigious client based in Saudi Arabia. Initially a 12 month contract although this is likely to be extended. An excellent package is available to the successful candidate.
The SAP PS Module Lead is a well-seasoned Information Technology professional, able to leverage their knowledge and experience on complex components of SAP Project Systems (PS) implementation. The SAP PS Module Lead will work according to requirements that develop through joint efforts with business process owners. The SAP PS Module Lead will direct, design and contribute to the actual detail work of functional specifications for enhancements to existing implementation and the addition of new components (eg, Plant Maintenance Projects, Cost/Labor Planning, Simulations, etc.). The consultant may mentor and lead other staff members in project-related efforts and should provide thought leadership and value-added input at team meetings. The SAP PM Functional is an advisor to projects under the Project Management Office (PMO) involving SAP PS functionality to provide project oversight, scope, demand, and resource management while ensuring strategic alignment with company objectives and policy of applying SAP standard rather than customized solution.
The following skills and experience is required:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Preferred Certified in SAP PS
- Worked on implementation and support projects
- Functional knowledge of SAP PM processes and integration with Materials management.
- Knowledge of "best practices" built into the SAP software
- Experience in SAP MM/PS is a plus
- Functional knowledge of SAP PS processes and integration with Materials Management.
- Experienced in functional and technical specification development
- SAP Project System module skills include process design and integration between Project Systems and SAP SD/CO/FI/MM/PP modules.
- Must have previous team leadership experience in at least 2 years project implementation.
- Team player, proactive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and sustain effective relationships with customers and IS organization.
- Good design skills and architectural skills in the technical area
- Good understanding of project management skills and knowledge of the ASAP project life cycle
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and deliver on commitments.
- Thoroughly proficient in both verbal and written English.
- 10 years of total SAP experience, minimum of 5 years in SAP Plan Maintenance (PM) business process experience in a Functional Consultant role. 1-3 years specific business process area experience. Preference will be given to a qualified Saudi National.
