This well-known Financial Services organisation is currently seeking a WebSphere Configuration Specialist to join their team based in Sydney CBD. Immediate start. Visa sponsorship available.

Your role will include the following responsibilities:
  • Managing the installation and configuration of the WebSphere application systems, patches and upgrades.
  • Support the development, testing and production environments.
  • Conduct all aspects of capacity planning & performance monitoring.
  • Build relationships with users, IT staff and management to identify and resolve issues associated with system implementation or business process changes.
  • Improvement of processes used for Configuration Management.
  • Migration of code in testing and production environments.
  • Implement or participate in testing, change management planning to ensure the quality of projects and their smooth execution.
  • Identify, manage and report changes, issues, defects and risks and develop contingency plans to resolve issues that may impact activity success.
You should have the following skills and experience:
  • WebSphere Application Server (version 7.x primarily)
  • IBM HTTPServer and IHS
  • IBM Portal
  • Administration on Linux and windows O/S s
  • Enterprise Java
  • Vignette/OpenText content management system - desirable
