Description
Spring Technology require as an Estates Marketing Manager for our public sector client based in Milton Keynes.
The post is responsible for:
* The successful candidate will be an experienced product/service marketing manager through the whole product life cycle with an understanding and working knowledge of marketing strategy and principles.
* Ideally the successful candidate should also have experience and/or good working knowledge of the estate, construction and/or protective security markets in the UK and overseas.
* Although the role is customer/market focused there is a need for the individual to have a strong background in estates product/service management where sales revenue, market share and profit margins need to be developed.
* Working and liaising with the business to identify and scope new products/services and take them to market
* Gather market requirements from customers or from the sales force and serve as the interface between the product development teams and the customers.
* Develop product road maps with product/service teams.
* Support the capture of customer requirements through the R& D process.
* Leading on the customer aspects of product/service management to determine the product/service development (new and existing) business-case, life cycle consideration, feasibility, differentiation and planning of products and services.
* Capture market intelligence to develop an understanding of customer need, the competition and gap analysis.
* Develop marketing plans to implement tactical marketing campaigns that include, positioning, product, price, cost (including margins and market share) and the promotional mix.
* Work with procurement to negotiate product changes, supplier assessment and supplier relationship management
* Represent us at relevant estates and security events, giving a full report on return.
* Communicate marketing activities to sales staff and rest of business.
* Internal marketing of new products and services.
* Liaise with colleagues on a regular basis gaining market feedback; offering product and market support to the sales teams.
Mandatory Experience:
* Good understanding of the concepts of marketing and product/service development.
* Experience in and understanding of estates and construction products and services and the estates, construction and security markets.
* The ability to capture both marketing and product requirements.
* Knowledge of successful marketing principles and methods for developing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy, tactics, and sales techniques.
* Strong skills in taking products/services to market.
* Ability to evaluate market conditions and present recommendations to develop specific market segments with new or existing products and services.
* Good interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate marketing principles and complex issues across a range of multi disciplinary staff/organisations/suppliers where there could be barriers to understanding.
* Work well within a team; demonstrate initiative, good customer service skills working to timescales with a flexible and proactive approach to problem solving.
* A good creative and lateral thinker
* Well organised and able to work under pressure to achieve to tight deadlines.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* The ability to engage and influence at Board level.
* The individual needs to be able to work well as part of a team, and have the ability to work without direct supervision for periods of time.
Desirable:
* Experience in estates, construction and/or protective security products and markets in the UK and internationally
Qualifications:
* Marketing- CIM Professional Diploma or equivalent
* Project management Prince2 and MSP
