An excellent opportunity has become available for a Financial Control Manager to assume an initial 3 month initial contract based in Cheshire.

The successful Financial Control Manager will be required to:

  • Ensure Financial Control integrity using in-depth technical accounting and control knowledge.
  • Provide a detailed understanding of a specific financial area such as balance sheet, income, costs and provisions.
  • Provide guidance on all aspects of the framework, standards, policy and governance.
  • Deal with ad hoc services, complex queries or analysis, as required.
  • Subject Matter Expert - Lead or feed into various finance related projects as financial control rep for RBB COO (eg re: new purchasing system) Lead on R&D tax review with EY
  • Support for the Year and half year external audits
  • Hedging - Manage and review INR and SGD hedge effectiveness for RBB COO, manage hedging documentation in line with regulatory
  • Transfer pricing point of contact includes input into TP working group, lead on annual TP report for RBB COO, finance lead on Service Agreements
  • Identify and drive forward implementing control changes across RBB. This will involve the communication of our strategy to Senior Executives across COO and CFO
  • Work on ad-hoc projects, as required

To be considered for this position the successful Financial Control Manager will have;

  • Expert knowledge of best practice industry standards
  • Ability to work efficiently, in order to ensure the timely resolution of issues.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure effective liaison with peers and senior stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities, to ensure that diverse tasks are managed & delivered to agreed timescales and standards
  • Ability to drive forward initiatives in order to maintain a more robust control process
  • A good team worker
  • Flexibility, as some international travel will be required
  • Recognised Accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA)
  • Demonstrable IAS technical knowledge & experience
  • Competent presentational skills
