Company in Duluth, GA is looking for an experienced ASP .Net/C# Web developer/Software developer II. The position is contract, and project based.

We are searching for outstanding Web/Software developers to be responsible for developing innovative, reusable Web-based tools, Web sites, applications, and services for both internal and public sites. Your role is to make it work, which means developing Web applications and testing them on various browsers, enhancing and modifying them as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user. As a Web/Software developer, you might also architect websites, design data-driven applications, and find efficient Client Server solutions. You must have an in-depth understanding of the software development life cycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions. You must also work closely with the rest of the team to ensure that standards are being followed; frameworks are being reused where appropriate.

Desired Skills/Qualifications

  • BS in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience as .NET web developer (C# and ASP.NET)
  • 3+ years experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle and a good working knowledge of SQL, MS SQL preferred but not must
  • 3 + years experience with HTML/XHTML and CSS
  • Microsoft IIS configuration
  • Experience with Javascript and frameworks such as jQuery
  • Experience developing AJAX-based applications
  • Experience working with XML & XSLT
  • Demonstrated understanding of web services (SOAP, WCF, RESTful feeds, etc.)
  • Experience in Silverlight or WPF is plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-browser web application development following guidelines and project requirements exactly
  • Full life cycle development including testing (nUnit)
  • Work closely with Project Managers and other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Support co-workers in any way possible to ensure that all projects are successful
  • Complete projects on time exceeding quality standards
  • Ensure a positive working environment by being approachable, answering questions as clearly as possible, and ensuring that answers are understood
  • Self-starter with strong self-management skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
