Established company in Norcross is looking for a Mid-Senior Java Developer to be a lead and mentor. This position will lead into a Team Leader role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide key input and guidance to software architecture strategies.
  • Assist in planning/analysing of high-level software strategies and solutions through functional and technical expertise.
  • Assist in integration of technical and application components to meet business requirements.
  • Design and develop Java/Web based user interfaces and tools for all company product offerings.
  • Maintain, enhance and repair Java/Web based applications in alignment with business requirements.
  • Assist in all technical related tasks through the software development life cycle.
  • Mentor juniors in areas as needed.
  • Research new technology and enhance the existing application as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Work with a high degree of independence to develop and maintain the product and its applications.
  • Is expected to be a key technical resource for other staff, providing advice, training, and technical support.
Qualifications
  • BS in CS/CIS/MIS or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years architecting Java applications.
  • 4+ years of experience developing with J2EE, Struts and Spring.
  • 4+ years of experience developing for Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic or JBoss.
  • 4+ years of experience developing with SQL for Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 or MySQL.
  • Experience with XML, XSL, XSLT and UNIX OS.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and GUI standards a major plus.
  • Knowledge of Hibernate, AJAX, Web Services, Web Portal and ASP a plus.
  • Knowledge of Payroll/Payroll Tax a plus.
  • Has a very good written and oral communications skill necessary to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel as well as to supervise, motivate, teach, and lead technical discussions and information.
  • Has very good organization and planning skills.
  • Team lead experience is a plus.
