Our client, a supplier of products and services to the worldwide nuclear power industry, is seeking several Mechanical/Project Engineers to join our UK office. The Project/Mechanical Engineer is responsible for assisting in the successful implementation of projects and provides technical support to the design and fabrication departments.

Principal duties include:
* Prepare Purchase/Technical Specifications, Design Justification Reports, Delivery Procedures, Installation Procedures, Operations & Maintenance Manuals and Operation & Maintenance Procedures for company product line
* Preparation and review of licensing evaluations
* Compliance with strict quality assurance standards and on time delivery
* Perform integrated product development and integrated engineering processes
* Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, contract requirements, and applicable standards
* Author and review design changes, specifications, analyses and drawings
* Provide technical resolutions for manufacturing deviations requested by the fabricators

Requirements

All candidates MUST possess the following:
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Capability and willingness to assume full responsibility for a project task
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with the following is desirable:
* Nuclear and/or power generation industry
* Steel structure design and fabrication
* Mechanical handling design and fabrication
* Concrete design and construction
* ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ACI Code
* CE Marking Experience
* BS Codes and Standards Experience
* Euro Code Experience
* Working with UK Regulator (ONR) Experience
