Description
The Engineering Planner will coordinate, monitor and progress the on time delivery of assorted projects or products using Primavera P6 and Primavera P6 web. To achieve this, it is necessary to create and maintain accurate data, and work with the relevant engineers to ensure the timely completion.
* The engineering planner is responsible for liaising with all relevant engineering disciplines throughout the project life cycle, from award to completion;
* Monitor, maintain and ensure timely completion of engineering time management using the Primavera timesheet module;
* Attend planning/project review meetings as necessary, ensuring all required support has been identified;
* Responsible for the obtaining and co-ordinating of all information and data needed to ensure that engineering project and product plans are accurate, thorough and maintained;
* Responsible for the preparation of and gaining commitment to engineering plans. Particular responsibility for identifying issues which, if not resolved, may impact their execution.
Key Tasks
* Achieve engineering plan time-scales and provide status feedback;
* Coordinate requirements across projects/products;
* Ownership and maintenance of engineering plans;
* Preparing and reporting any required Primavera information to all levels of the business;
* Owning and maintaining Primavera timesheet module.
Contractor Ideal/Special Experience:
* Must be computer literate, including MS Word, Excel and Visio;
* Proven years Primavera experience;
* Knowledge of MS Project;
* Ability to communicate at all levels across all disciplines using both verbal and written English;
* Must possess strong people and conflict management skills as well as being pro-active in ensuring engineers are supplying required information correctly and on time;
* Must be capable of prioritising, multi-tasking and working to agreed schedules;
* An understanding of the workings of, and the differences to, of the three engineering disciplines (software, electrical, hymech) would be advantageous.
