Unified Communication Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Unified Communication Engineer to work for a large telecoms company in Luxembourg for 3 to 9 month contract period. Please note that 3 Friday afternoons out of 4 will not be worked.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, able to design and validate Cisco Call manager solutions/videoconferencing services/understand Microsoft Exchange interfaces.
  • Will have to propose solutions/Products/services implementation schemes; define test protocols to validate those solutions; install lab and realize lab tests; deliver reports facilitating decisions on those subjects.
  • Will have co-Responsibility in a team of three persons regarding the expertise brought on the UC program and the installation and exploitation of a LAB dedicated to the testing of UC solutions

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in the Unified Communications field.
  • French speaking is a plus, English speaking is mandatory if no French speaking

Technologies:

  • Experience of Cisco TOIP solutions & peripheral solutions, Tandberg solutions

Required knowledges:

  • Legacy and public telephony technologies - QSIG,Routing Plan, Billing,
  • IP Telephony protocols and architectures (SIP,SCCP,RTP, SRTP ...),
  • Videoconferencing and telepresence protocols and architectures (H323,ISDN,SIP,GW,GK,MCU ...),
  • FAX services and solutions (MFD, RightFax, Fax Over IP, T38),
  • Voice and Mail Messaging solutions (Unity, Exchange, ...),
  • Call Centerior and Voice Recording solutions,
  • Internal and Public Mobile Communication solutions,
  • Web Voice Video and Conferencing Solution (and related Security aspects),
  • Unified Communication (LDAP,AD, H350,XML,OCS,CUCM,CUPS.CUMA,...),
  • Voice and Video Phone Proxying,
  • Traffic encryption (HTTPS, IPSec, GRE),
  • Network traffic segregation (VLAN, VRF, MPLS, trunking, etc.),
  • Operation Management and Service Reporting,
  • Related protocols, standards and/or associated technologies.
