Description
B&D is looking for a freelance DBA to work on a project in Ghent, for at least 6 months.
You are a part of a Back Office support team which support BI products towards end-users and developers.
You are responsible for day to day operational follow-up, support and assistance of Oracle databases and related BI services.
You manage the production-, test- and acceptation environments and when needed takes corrective and preventive actions.
You support the development teams within the BIT network.
Follow-up and communication of incoming problems and questions from developers and/or customers is another part of your job.
You will handle the migration from Oracle 10 towards Oracle 11.
Your profile:
- Knowledge of and experience of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
- At least 5 years of experience as DBA working with the Oracle 10/11 in a BI context
- Good knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
- Good knowledge of Unix Scripting
- You are a team player, and you can work autonomous.
- You are structured in your work and you show strong analytical skills
- You have excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in English
- You are stress resistant and you can adjust easily to fast changing environments
- You strive continuously for quality and customer's satisfaction
- Short business trips abroad is no problem for you
