A leading banking organisation is in need of an Articulate Project Manager with Credit & Market Risk experience to work on a 6 Month Project. This has a strong chance of extending and you will be part of an excellent Senior Level Management Team

Ensuring the project remains relevant in the business context by:

  • Obtaining sponsor validation of the business case based on a best, worst, most likely scenario construct;
  • Continual validation of the business case with the sponsor and steering committeee;
  • Architectural alignment with Clients business and technology requirements; and
  • Incorporation and alignment of key supplier(s) as part of the solution.

Ensuring that the project consequences and impacts have been fully identified and understood by:

  • Agreeing and managing to the sponsor and steering committees realistic expectations on project scope, time, cost and quality;
  • Providing the sponsor and steering committee with on-going confidence on project delivery certainty and peoples capacity/ability to apply the new capability; and
  • Ensuring all project delivery/operational/regulatory/reputation risk impacts are maintained within acceptable and agreed parameters.
  • End to end coordinated management of all project stage gates in accordance with the requirements of the Clients project operating model (POM) incorporating the Clients change management framework
  • Securing project resources with the necessary experience aligned to the complexity of the task or if the appropriate resources are not available instituting a resource risk minimization plan;
  • Maintaining the integrity of all project MIS by ensuring that it represents a factual picture of what is happening with the project;
  • Agreeing with the sponsor and steering committee the appropriate governance framework based on project risk and value;
  • Ensuring supplier suppliers are fully aligned with project goals, Clients POM requirements and Clients values;
  • Ensuring key stakeholders remain strongly committeed to the project; and
  • Continual positioning of own project with other projects impacting on like stakeholders.

Ensuring the correct people capability to deliver project outcomes by:

  • Securing individuals with the demonstrated experience to undertake the complexity of the task to be performed;
  • Having a resource risk minimization plan if the appropriate experienced resources are not readily available; and
  • Establishing clear delegated authority, accountabilities and performance management structures for the project;
  • Experience on credit risk analytics, collateral analysis, risk modelling.
  • Strong risk expertise especially on Counterparty Party Risk, Concentration risk, Credit Risk with expert understanding of Basel III frameworks
  • Implementation experience in Basel II & Basel III for credit risk, stress testing of models and model validation for different portfolios.
