Senior Software Engineer - 6 Month Daily Rate Contract - Galway, Ireland
This Quality Assurance (QA) testing role will focus on the full functional testing life cycle for various functional application testing initiatives for a portfolio monitoring platform. This includes defining test strategies, developing test plans, creation of test cases, test execution, and results reporting.
Responsibilities will also include working closely with international business teams.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience with the full spectrum of functional Quality Assurance testing and systems development life cycles a must.
- Experience with functional test execution utilizing an Agile development methodology.
- Experience with acceptance test-driven development approaches, including behaviour-driven development.
- Experience with testing management utilizing HP's Quality Centre including defect tracking, reporting and metrics.
- Skill with SQL as a data mining tool.
- Experience working with Unix.
Beneficial to have but not essential
- Knowledge of the Financial Services and Mutual Fund industry.
- Experience in the following areas: XML, Java, .Net, Web Services and familiarity with MS SQL Server and database concepts.
