VIDEOCONFERENCING L3 profile fora 4 months mission (project - based)
The NUPS Videoconferencing group is responsible for delivering videoconferencing services to all the DG (Directorate General) of the European commission.
The team deals more than 350 video rooms and studios worldwide and a redundant DIGIT core infrastructure of 43 equipment.
The scope of the mission is to install a POC in the lab of NUPS Videoconferencing based on the jabber client infrastructure and around Cisco CUCM.
The POC will compare the features of Microsoft Lync and Cisco Jabber in a Telepresence environment.
Role of the consutant:
- Deliver a complete Back Office installation of Cisco CUCM and Jabber
- Interface the environment with Cisco Telepresence and the Videoconferencing production
environment
- Compare the features of Jabber with Lync (complexity, features, integration, deployment scenario,
maintenance costs, )
- Deliver POC in Front Office for some restricterd amouof users.
- Defend the document in front of NUPS VC Management and DG officials.
Technical Skills for the mission:
- Certification(s) in Cisco Telepresence
- Microsoft Certification(s) in the area required for the mission
- Good knowledge of modern networks (Routers, Firewalls, IP, )
- Good knowledge of virtualization, Servers, NAS,
- Good knowledge of SIP and H220/H323 standards is required.

Experience of the Videoconferencing Level 2 consultant
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies (Prince 2, PMBOK)
- Knowkledge of French and English, any additional language is a +
- IT education background and 3+ years of experience in videoconferencing is mandatory
