Description
Job Purpose:
Coordinate the development and execution of common data across multiple, regional test teams to include: creation, staging and restaging, de-identification, integration, migration between environments, etc. Lead the development effort of test data requirements and test data that link to test cases that can be used across the various teams. Assist teams in building their own common data sets that link to setup data specific for that state and region. Ensure cross team coordination of test data approaches where appropriate. Ensure test teams have full test data coverage and are able to build incremental test data and files as necessary to re-run or retest functionality. Assist in the use of the common data across systems and teams.
Job Duties:
- Define data requirements with test teams
- Maintain linkage of test requirements to generic test cases at the program level
- Define coding standard SQL for dynamic data creation for each team
- Assist teams with design SQL template and generic stored procedures/functions for the purpose of generating data from existing test databases.
- Develop common data reporting metrics
- Coordinate with HP Quality Center coordinator and team
- Coordinate common data team meeting
- Coordinate common data releases by team and environment
- Coordinate common data loads and files
- Coordinate development of automated common data builds
- Manage common data change control process across teams
- Coordinate usage of common data in testing
- Prepare weekly common data testing progress reports to Test Lead and Test Manager
- Participate in core test team meetings
Skills/Qualification:
- Minimum of 8 years of leading complex ANSI SQL development experience
- Hands on experience of ANSI SQL/PLSQL, ISQL/OSQL/, Stored Procedure/functions, EDI/XSQL/XML/XSL development, analytic functions, Java stored procedure
- Hands on experience of database table design.
- Hands on experience of database batch processing (import/export, SQL loader, external tables, scheduled jobs etc)
- Experience in testing and test coordination is a plus
- Familiarity with HP Quality Center is a plus
- Hands on experience in source controlling, deployment process, and automated testing and data generation
- Hands on experience in Scripting languages
- Good communication skills and strong leadership
- Advanced degree in computer related major or MIS
