Senior AS400 RPG ILE Developer
Required Skills:
iSeries/AS400 Platform
(RPG IV & RPG-ILE)
SQL Embedded experience
strong understanding of RDMS (DB2 & SQL)
Specific Accountabilities:
Extensive coding experience with RPG IV, RPG Free and building applications in a modularized ILE environment
Code, test, debug, and install software to support business applications
Review, analyze, and modify iSeries applications
Strong understanding in the areas of application programming (RPG IV & RPG-ILE), database (DB2 & SQL) and system design (iSeries & Network)
Strong coding experience in CL ILE
Strong understanding of ILE environments and modular programming on the
iSeries
Basic understanding of XML concepts
Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and Client Server architectures
Understands both Legacy and web-based hybrid systems
Gather information from users to create specifications and develop code for new and existing systems
Troubleshoots and debugs existing code
Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software
Provides programming support for various interfaces
Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting
Creates programming documentation
File weekly report of Service Requests status
Five years experience on iSeries/AS400 platform
Excellent SQL skills
Familiar with standard Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies
Experience with batch processing, reports, and modular design
Experience in analysis, design, project planning, and estimation

Experience using RPG III, RPG IV, CL, CLLE, SQL, DDS, ROBOT, Implementor
