Mainframe (MVS) Operator
A large financial services client based in Dublin City Centre currently has an urgent requirement for a MVS operator to work a daily rate contract position. This contract will follow a shift rota as laid out by the hiring manager.
Successful candidates must have the following:
Tech Skills
- Z/OS Mainframe Operating system
- Windows Server Operating system
- OPC/A & TWS Scheduling Tools
- JCL - Mainframe job control language
- FTP - File transfer
- Connect Direct - File transfer
- StorageTek Tape Library
- Commvault Backup Software
- Knowledge of Windows, Office and Exchange.
- An understanding of Monitoring, Capacity and Performance Management.
- An understanding of Backup & Recovery processes and technology.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service, Change and Problem management processes.
Job Duties to include:
- Calendars, Run Cycle Periods/Rules, Work Stations,
- External Dependencies, Internal Dependencies,
- Operators Instructions, Special resources, Automatic Job Recovery (Life),
- Long Term Plan, Daily Plan
