Mainframe Design & Build Engineers Required - Banking

This organisation is a leading company in the banking sector and part of a larger financial services group. Joining a team of 40+ in IT you will be part of a team of 6 others in the Mainframe development department, joining a broader team covering testing, analysis and design & development.

Due to continued demand the team is growing and an extensive number of key projects is driving 2 key requirements in the area of Mainframe design & development.

Technical environment: Cobol/TSO/Librarian/JCL/Cics/Hogan

The role:

  • Requirements gathering, analysis & design of new applications
  • Architectural design of critical applications
  • Development of core banking applications for the bank
  • Support of existing software.
  • Resolve of bugs and production issues.
  • Project specific enhancements

Your skills:

  • You will have at least 4-5 years' experience in the design and development of applications using Cobol in a banking environment, with at least 1-2 years experience using the Hogan Mortgage system.
  • You will have strong design and development skills in an IBM Mainframe environment
  • You will have done projects in a banking environment.
