Description
Motivation:
- Extensive knowledge of make/makefiles, Perl, ClearCase (administration level), clearmake, unix, linux, Shell Scripting
- Good knowledge of C/C++
Deliverables:
- Split up of current build system including:
- Makefiles
- Dependency relationship description files
- Related tooling (eg scripts to enforce access control, check architecture)
The new system has to support multiple independent modules which can be built stand-alone as well as assembled as a whole.
Job/Role Description:
- ASML has a very large software development environment and in order to improve efficiency there is a need to split up the software archive into independent modules.
- For this we require a build system architect who can design and implement improvements to a complex existing build system to support these independent modules.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Architectural design, identification of a solution and implementation of (enhancements to) the build system and related tooling to enable it to work with independent modules.
