Description
Regional Project Manager required for a great long term contract opportunity in Chennai, India. Our client requires a project manager to assist the regional Managed Service Provider and to work with the regional organisations to ensure the successful transformation of all regional Service Locations to time, quality, scope & cost. Currently there are 26 Service Locations, including 3 Contact Centre's, across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.Responsibilities:
1. Take joint end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of the Transformation Programme in region with the Suppliers Regional Project Manager
2. Validate and manage the regional Project Plan in conjunction with the Supplier Regional Project Manager, and to manage resources against the Project Plan
3. Take end to end responsibility for the management of risk, issues and change, from initial identification at project commissioning through to project completion
4. Initiate corrective actions & escalations and ensure the successful resolution of project failings.
5. Lead and manage the regional company resource (1 x project coordinator), with the authority and responsibility to run the project on a day-to-day basis
6. Coordinate the ordering and delivery of new handsets and further hardware, software, services & circuits (as required) to regional sites.
7. Initiate & progress of both LAN & WAN MACDs where required
8. Coordinate of site preparation & installation works with local site WSM/MIS
9. Report project performance (review/preview) to the central PMO, any variations (actual or forecast) and oversee the implementation of approved recommendations/rectifications.
10. Establish and maintain regional project stakeholder expectations
11. Capture and validate Lessons Learned identified during the project life cycle ensuring their adoption through the global team.
12. Satisfy the Completion Criteria for the project
Mandatory skills:
Project Management certification eg Prince2/PMP. (Preferred)
Proven track record in Project Managing Telephony projects (min 5 years)
Proven track record in Project Managing International projects (min 3 years) (Preferred)
Proven experience Project Managing IPCC projects in India (min 3 years) (Preferred)
Experience of working with telecommunications Managed Service Providers
Experience of implementation of Cisco IPT & IPCC solutions (Preferred)
Strong management and organization skills
Clear & professional communication skills at an international level.
Fluent English skills essential.
Minimum 5 years' experience
