My client is a large Banking Group based in Bristol, they are currently recruiting for finance professionals to work on Cost Transfer Charging and Product Costing. There will be an opportunity for a manager and a senior manager to join the bank on this initiative.
CTC and Product Costing is a specialised cost management function with Group wide accountabilities and services.
Core outputs include an annual Costing product which supports significant Business Unit support and engagement throughout the year along with core Group cost recharges within the Cost Transfer Charging (CTC) function. This role provides CTC support to deliver accurate dissemination of the Groups costs to underpin management and statutory reporting along with significant Business Unit support, engagement and awareness.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
*To lead the input to the business design of a projects CTC and Product Costing Function
*To lead the approach, impact assessment and tasks arising during a Transition process of work.
*To lead approach and agreement to the identification of costs related to ongoing Transition Support Agreements
*To lead definition of Day One CTC and Product Costing processes
*Provide a wide range of information, interpretation and guidance, which enables business area to gain a full understanding of the implications linked to decisions
*Lead the production of key documentation eg Business Requirements/Functional Specification/supporting End User Computing applications etc.
*Undertake project work on an allocated projects basis, ensuring full multi-functional involvement as required.
*Plan own work and provide regular updates to senior manager through delivery of outputs.
*Provide support and assistance to project as a whole, on any aspects of MI development to ensure deadlines are met.
*Perform post implementation checking of processes to ensure outcomes are delivered in line with expectations
*Lead stakeholder sign-off for all accountable deliverables
*Takes direction from Head of Function with little or no supervision and directs manager.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
*Results oriented with the ability to work on own initiatives managing a number of tasks and developments simultaneously. Ability to work to tight deadlines and work under pressure.
*Provide expert guidance and insight on the interpretation and use of the teams services and outputs
*Ability to manage ambiguity and present considered solutions and proposals to immediate challenges when they arise
*Proven ability to influence stakeholders and find common agreement to concepts, ideas and process change
*Excellent working knowledge of project management with strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills.
*Ability to make sound decisions of a highly complex nature under pressure.
*Must have sound communication and influencing skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions and issues to people of varying levels of technical understanding.
*Written Communication Skills - Accountability for producing documentation to a high standard
*Verbal Communication Skills - Chairing meetings & facilitating workshops. Maintaining relationships with a wide variety of key stakeholders
*Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
*Educated to degree level or hold a professional or post-graduate qualification (or equivalent) desirable
Key Skills and Knowledge Areas
* Strong Excel skills with ability to interpret and run complex models
* Strong PowerPoint skills with ability to use as a core communication tool
* Appreciation of Access and basic database functionality
* SAP experience with cost centre/structure/reporting understanding
