Manning Global is currently looking for an experienced Solution Architect (BSS) –UK for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company, for a Contract/Permanent position based in the UKJob description:
The Solution Architect for the project will be ultimately responsible for providing technical competence and development solutions that will enhance the customers position. You will be responsible for planning, designing and delivering solutions to improve the customers applications in terms of end user service, capacity, functionality and essentially improvement and growth of the customers business.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain the integrity of the overall architecture through appropriate solution designs.
• Provide consultancy on the future direction of Business (BSS), Enterprise (ESS) and mobile data solutions to customers existing and future.
• Design/Plan IT solutions to meet client requirements and ensure these are successfully implemented.
• Design/Plan end-to-end IT solutions for projects.
• Review the Business Requirements Specifications and use cases.
• Work in collaboration with Customers, Development teams, Business Analysts, Project managers, Testing & Operational functions.
• Provide technical leadership on projects and managing subject matter experts and application designers.
• Ensure that proposed technical changes are assessed appropriately.
• Ensure that compliancy to design is tracked through the project lifecycle through to deployment.
• Manage the solution design throughout the project lifecycle through to deployment.
• Ensure that technical dependencies are identified and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that the end-to-end design documentation is maintained and kept up to date.
Essential knowledge/skills:
• Demonstrable background of performing a solution design or enterprise architect's role in a Mobile Telco organization.
• Extensive knowledge of working on BSS and ESS implementations.
• A visionary with exceptional problem solving abilities.
• Background of technically leading complex projects throughout the complete IT lifecycle (Analysis, Architecture, Design, Build, Test & Production).
• Ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries, and operate successfully in an intense business environment.
• Knowledge and experience of implementing Service Orientated Architecture, Enterprise Application Integration solutions, COTS based applications and bespoke application delivery
• Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult customers and/or situations.
• Provide concise and clear, written and verbal reports.
• Fluent communication in English.
